Nail mail from Jessica

Hi girls!
This morning I received mail.. nail mail (the best kind of mail anyway) AGAIN! *yey*

So.. this time... i was already half dressed (lol).. and I ran downstairs to get my package !

The Postman is kinda old and very nice so he waits for me to get down there and today I took a little longer .. so when I got there he smiled and said.. "ahh! I knew you would come! I was waiting for you!"

 *so kind* I'ts my Santa! LOL

Hoje de manhã recebi correio especial de vernizes (é o único correio bom não é?) DE NOVO!*yey*

Desta vez estava metade vestida já à espera do correio para descer depressa quando tocassem à campaínha!

O sr. carteiro já é velhote e super simpático então espera que eu chegue lá abaixo.. como hoje demorei um bocadinho mais quando cheguei  à caixa de correio ele sorriu e disse "Ah.. eu sabia que havia de aparecer! Estava à sua espera!"

*que querido!* É o meu Pai Natal dos Ctt! LOL

Yesterday I was looking a my new polishes and during the day I had this idea of trying to simulate the Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop polish with whatever I had..

So.. by nigh i started experiencing..

Ontem estava eu a contemplar os meus vernizes ( coisa que nunca faço... lolol) quando me lembrei de tentar simular um verniz girissimo da Deborah Lippmann, o Candy Shop.. com os vernizes que tenho..  À noite comecei a experimentar..

It doesn't look like a dupe, at all, like I first wanted it to be, but I liked it anyway, looks cute and girly.

Whats wrong with this polish? (Besides  the 4 coats I needed to apply!)
O que é que está mal aqui? (Fora as 4 camadas que tive que aplicar!)

I am not very please with this polish so I made a modification.. still.. lasted one day!
Não fiquei muito contente com este verniz, portanto fiz-lhe uma modificação..mesmo assim.. só o usei um dia..








I applied Matte Top Coat to it! I hated it original.. it was shinny until the tip of the nail where it became quite opaque.. weird.. I decided to apply a coat of Matte top ( ( [B]asic ))  coat to make it even .


Apliquei uma camada de top coat matte ( [B]asic ). Detestei o acabamento original.. ficou a unha brilhante excepto as pontas que estavam opacas.. sem brilho nenhum.. estranhissimo...

Hi girls,  todays post is a little different, more pics and less talk!


Olá meninas!
O post de hoje é um bocadinho diferente, muita foto e pouca conversa! Não há tempo para mais.


Então há uns tempos prometi que mostrava as várias limas que usava, de acordo com as necessidades das unhas.


A while ago i promissed that i would show all my files and how i use them according to my nails needs, yes, they have needs!


So .. here's the whole lot!
Eis o conjunto completo!

So..

 1) Metallic Files.. I really dont use this ones very much, i find them quite aggressive for nails.
1) Limas de metal: Não as custumo usar.. acho-as muito agressivas para as unhas.

2) Small portable paper files: Well.. they are small.. and portable.. I usually have a bunch of this in my purses and bags. Just in case!

2) Limas de papel pequenas e transportáveis:  Basicamente são pequenas e úteis para andar sempre comnosco! Normalmente tenho sempre as malas cheias de imensas variações destas limas.

 3) Glass File: I use this one when i just want to file in between manicures, when they have the right size and shape.
3)Lima de vidro: uso esta lima só para que a ponta da unha não esteja desgastada. Uso-a principalmente entre manicures, quando a unha está com a forma e tamanho que quero.

 4) Multiple side files: I use this ones to finish polishing the nails.
4) Limas com várias frentes: Estas limas uso-as principalmente no fim, para polir as  unhas.

 5) Pretty ones that don't file much (still very useful for minor nail stresses)
5) Limas giras q não limam grande coisa ( são fraquinhas mas muito úteis para limagens do dia-a-dia)

6) Block Files: I find this ones super usefull to end the process of filing and reshaping the nails! Super smooth for an excelent finishing. Also when some nails peel off I use this ones!
6) Blocos de lima: Eu adoro estes blocos para corrigir pequenas imperfeições após limar as unhas, especialmente quando as encurto ou lhes altero a forma. Também as uso imenso quando tenho alguma lasca na unha.

7) Hard Files: This ones are the hardest I have. I usually use this ones when I have to shorten my nails a lot. I dont like to cut them so I always file them! The white ones are currently my very favorites
7) Limas Rijas: Estas são as limas mais rijas que eu tenho. Normalmente utilizo-as quando tenho que encurtar as unhas um bom bocado. Como eu não gosto de as cortar, limo-as sempre. Actualmente as brancas são as minhas favoritas.

8) Pretty Files.. This files are more for show off then to file! I cant resist buying them because they are so pretty but they don't file much lol

8) Limas bonitas..Estas limas são das mais bonitas que tenho mas não limam grande coisa..É mais para fazer figura bonita no estojo do que outra coisa..

Last but not the least..
I don't even use this file! 


This glass file was a present from my bf's mum, the B (my initial ) is made from Swarovski Crystals, so I barely touch it! Its in a shelf next to my Glitter Gal *_*


Esta lima de vidro foi um presente da mãe do meu bf e tem um B ( a minha inicial) em cristais Swarovski.. portanto eu mal lhe toco para não estragar.. Está numa prateleira ao lado do meu Glitter Gal *_*

Finally NOTD ! Viúva negra! Risqué Color Effects

Olá!

Finalmente, após três posts hoje (uffa) venho mostrar-vos um verniz que mostrei há pouco na minha página do Facebook (aqui).

Now I’m finally showing you a nail polish! After a lot of non manicure posts I’m finally showing you the polish I publish a teaser pic of, early today, in myFacebook page!

Viuva Negra da Colecção Colour Effects da Risqué!

Dark Widow from Color effects from the brazillian brand Risqué.

This polish, at the first coat seems like having a poor pigmentation..

I was surprised when, by the 2^nd coat it covered the whole nail with full opacity!

It’s a little bit fluid though, so careful with application or you’ll get polish on the cuticles and then.. When you clean up you’ll have lots of red glitter on your fingers!

If want to apply it over a coat of black it will look the same, it’s just a matter of saving polish ( Just like Revlon Facets of Fuchsia here).

Este verniz à primeira camada pareceu-me muito ralinho e pensei que ia ser tão pouco pigmentado que iam ser precisas pelo menos 3 camadas!!
Qual não foi o meu espanto quando, à segunda camada atingi opacidade total na unha! Fantástico!

É um bocadinho águado.. portanto recomendo muito cuidado na aplicação para que não escorra para as cutículas.. se escorrer.. quando depois forem limpar.. vai ficar brilhantes vermelhos nos dedos!

Se quiserem aplicar uma camada do viúva negra por cima de uma camada de preto.. o resultado é igual, é uma questão de poupar verniz (tal como falei no Revlon Facets of Fuchsia)
