Is there about a story behind the name of your brand? Rainbow Honey was born out of a love for color and a penchant for creativity. To create Rainbow Honey, Dee, its founder and Chief Designer, brought together her background in the sciences and her experience in the fashion industry, resulting in unique, colorful and well-formulated custom blended nail lacquers.

Rainbow Honey was kind enough to send me a box of the new holiday collection that will be up for sale TODAY!
A Rainbow Honey enviou-me um pequeno presente para que vos mostrasse anticipadamente a colecção que está à venda a partir de hoje!

Spirit of Wonder, Gilded Angel, Glittering Rapture, Annual Emotion
Spirit of Wonder
This feels like the purest color of the collection, its unbelievably pretty and sweet! Its a pure white base color filled with several tons of blue small round glitter.
The formula is very well pigmented, the white base color isn't very thick but is not too fluid. The blue glitter is very well scattered and in perfect suspension.
I applied only two coats for full opacity but after the first coat the nail was already practically covered. Dried in around 2-3mins.
The finish is super creamy and smooth. No bumps in the glitter. Looks super sweet on the nails. Loved it .
Este verniz tem o tom mais puro e bonito desta colecção. Adorei o aspecto comestível e fofo do verniz. A cor base é um branco puro muito pigmentado com vários tons de azul em glitters redondos pequenos.
A fórmula é bastante boa e facil de aplicar, não sendo nem demasiado grossa nem demasiado fluída. Os glitters azuis estão bastante bem espalhados e em perfeita suspensão no verniz.
Apliquei duas camadas para sas fotos e para opacidade total, sendo que após a primeira camada a maior parte da unha estava já coberta. Secou em cerca de 2-3minutos.
O acabamento final é bastante cremoso e macio ao toque. Sem qualquer tipo de 'altinhos' ou 'picos' de glitter. Ficou amoroso na unha. Amei!
Gilded Angel
I wish all angels have wings with this color! LOL Light/Soft Holographic Gold? What is this! Its Gorgeous! I didn't knew it was holographic until I started applying it! Then I was like: "Omg is this HOLO!?"
Well.. about the polish itself it is quite easy to apply, tho coats for full opacity and no weird issues with the formula as some holos make us experience. Drying time in about 1-2mins.
I noticed tho that it is super resistant. I usually go and clean something immediately if I smudge the cuticle and don't usually let it dry but when I do I just use my magic brush and some polish remover and its done. With this polish I let it dry, first because It does dry fast and then because I was mesmerized looking at the color! LOL .. When I went to clean it up I had a big of a fight as it wold let itself get washed away! Nice!
Se todos os anjos tivessem asas desta cor.. hum.. seria o paraíso( Oi?! LOL)!
Okey a cor é de um dourado claro e discreto com um acabamento Holográfico leve! Sim!! Holográfico!!
Eu não fazia ideia que era holográfico, não se nota no frasquinho! Quando comecei a aplicar e vi o resultado comecei a ficar louca e a falar sozinha "Ohhh É HOLO?! =O"
Bem.. continuando.. O verniz tem uma excelente fórmula, fluida qb. e bem pigmentada, duas camadas para opacidade total e sem nenhum problema de aplicaçao (arrastamento) que alguns holos apresentam. O tempo de secagem é de cerca de 1-2mins.
Uma coisa que notei foi que é super resistente. Eu normalmente vou pintando a unha e se por acaso sujo um pouco da cutícula limpo logo. Outras vezes, quando são cores mais claras deixo para o fim. No caso deste verniz deixei para o fim, porque? Era clarinho, secou super rápidooo e eu estava fixada a olhar para a cor dele!
Quando fui limpar foi um sarilho! O danado não queria ser apagado nem por nada ( com acetona pura!)! Ponto para Ele! Gostei!
As you can see this polish also is a stamping polish. I needed a couple tries to make it right to stamp properly but in the end designs are good, fine lines look sharp and no smudging. The middle finger is the worst and was the first one I stamped. Base color Kinetics Twilight. Stamping Plate BM-314.
Como podem ver pela foto abaixo este verniz também é óptimo para carimbar. Precisei de um bocadinho para me ajustar ao verniz uma vez que é juma formula demasiado fluida e parece que não vai carimbar nada mas o resultado final foi óptimo. Além de carimbar bem as linhas ficaram bem definidas. O dedo do meio foi o que de facto ficou pior pois foi o primeiro onde carimbei. Cor base Kinetics Twilight. Placa BM-314.
Glittering Rapture

This is the glitter king of this collection. As soon as I laid my eyes on it I knew I had to try it on a dark and a light base color. I applied it over Kinetics Black Silk a dark cream black shimmered with black micro glitter and Kinetics Smokey Pearl, a pearly cream. Over both colors I only applied two coats of Glittering Rapture. When applied alone I used 3 coats.
The formula is a bit thicker than the formula of the other 3 polishes but it is still quite workable. No big deal. Application was normal and the outcome amazing as you can see by the pictures. Drying time was about 5mins. Perfect for Christmas.
Este é o Rei Glitter desta colecção! Um complemento perfeito às outras cores. Assim que o vi imaginei-me logo a testa-lo sobre uma cor base escura e uma cor base clara.
Para cor escura escolhi o Kinetics Black Silk, um Preto Cremoso cheio de shimmer preto brilhante. Para cor base escolhi o Kinetics Smokey Pearl, um creme discreto de acabamento perolado.
Sobre ambas as cores apliquei apenas duas camadas do Glittering Rapture e quando aplicado sozinho usei 3 camadas.
A fórmula é a mais grossa dos 4 vernizes da colecção mas não é espessa demais que seja sequer difícil de trabalhar com ela. Bastante simpática até. A Aplicação foi fácil e rápida e secou em cerca de 5 minutos. Perfeito para o Natal.
Over Smokey Pearl
Annual Emotion
One more great surprise in this colection! A gorgeous silver shimmered polish that looked like just a gorgeous shimmed polish and ended up being also a light holographic silver polish like its golden brother.
About the formula, it is quite similar to Gilded Angel, two coats for full opacity, fast drying time and put on a fight with polish remover.
Mais uma boa surpresa naa colecção! Um prateado lindo que parecia prateado simples e acabou por ser prateado Holo discreto (também!!) como o irmãozinho dourado.
Em relação à fórmla, é muito semelhante ao irmão dourado, duas camadas para opacidade total, rápido tempo de secagem e resistência a acetona também.
Like Gilded Angel, it is also a great stamping polish. Here is an example, over Essence Twilight Breaking Down - 02 Alice had a vision (Yes I already have it, swatched it and have no *space* to post it*). Stamping Plate from Cheeky - CH -37.
Tal como o dourado Gilded Angel, o Annual Emotion também é um excelente verniz para carimbar. Aqui usei-o sobre o Essence Twilight Breaking Down - 02-Alice had a vision ( pois.. já os tenho, já testei e não há espaço para os postar). Placa da Cheeky, CH-37.
