Hoje trago-vos o me post sobre os meus cuidados com as cutículas! O que é que vocês sabem sobre cuidados sobre as cutículas? Vamos saber um pouco mais?

There are several steps in cuticle care. Some people cut the cuticles but I hate doing that. For me, after having them cut they regrow stronger and more ugly. I now do the following.

First of all I use the cuticle removers. Then I hydrate them with balms and oils.

Existem vários tipos de cuidados. Algumas pessoas cortam as cutículas outras apenas as empurram para trás, outras hidratam e algumas, como eu fazem tudo ( corto muito raramente, apenas aquelas peles levantadas ou espigõezinhos). Creio que é melhor não cortar a cutícula mas sim mantela hidratada de modo a que cresça pequenina e macia. Normalmente, no inicio de cada manicure, uso removedores de cutículas primeiro, depois empurro para trás o excesso com um pauzinho de laranjeira e no fim hidrato com bálsamos ou óleos. Diariamente uso óleos e bálsamos.

The main purpose of the cuticle removers is to make those small bits of skin around the nail soft enough to remove them easily with an orange stick I always advise to choose after testing a couple of them.

The cuticle Oils and bals are used after removing the excess of cuticle skin and their goal is to hydrate the cuticle and to keep the nail hydrated as it grows. For this it is important that the cuticule area is always hydrated. Some oils are more easy to absorb than other and it may depend on your skin and personal preferences.

O principal objectivo dos removedores de cutículas é amolecer aqueles pedacinhos de pele à volta da unha até que seja possivel remover sem danificar a área de crescimento da unha. Os óleos e balsamos devem ser usados continuamente para manter a área hidratada de modo a favorecer um crescimento saudável da unha. É importante manter esta zona sempre hidratada. Alguns óleos e bálsamos são mais facilmente absorvidos que outros! É importante testar vários pois a capacidade de abosção varia com o tipo de pele de cada pessoa.

They are available in all prices, since 1€ to 10€ (or a bit more). Not always the ones that are more expensive are the best and the worst are the lower prices ones. So.. keep testing until you find your favorite.

1- Essence Cuticle Remover Gel

This is a gelish product that costs around 3/4€ and can be found in all stores that sell Essence (like Wells).I don't like this product very much. I bought it for testing purposes but I dont think it does much. Dont see much difference between using it or dipping the nails in hot water with soap (LOL!).

Este removedor de cutículas é em forma de gel, é da Essence, vem num pequeno tubinho e custa cerca de 3/4€. Pode ser encontrado em lojas que vendem Essence como a Wells. Não gostei muito do produto. De facto, comprei-o para testar e não me parece que faça grande coisa. Aliás creio que faz mais coisa menos coisa que o processo de por as mãos 5min em água quente com sabonete (LOL!).

2- Golden Rose Cuticle Remover

This is from Golden Rose, costs around 5€ and can be found in stores like Pluricosmética. I bought it in Exposcosmetics this March. What I love the most about it is its smell. Its quite good, until a while ago it was one of my very favorites.

Este removedor de cutículas da Golden Rose, também em gel, tem uma cor verdinha e um cheirinho deliciso! Custou-me cerca de 5€ na Expocosmética (preço de feira). Pode ser encontrado em lojas Pluricosmética. O que mais gosto neste produto é o cheiro e o facto de funcionar. Até há bem pouco tempo era um dos meus produtos preferidos.

3- Risqué Cuticle Remover

This is from Risque and was the first cuticle treatment I bought, costs around .25€ and can be found it lots of local stores and Chinese warehouses . A lot of people say it works very well, I thought to at first when I used it because I never had used any other. Nowadays I cant seem to think about it as nothing special.

O removedor de cutículas da Risqué foi o primeiro produto para cutículas que adquiri. Custou cerca de 2.5€ e pode ser encontrado numa grande variedade de lojas locais e armazéns Chineses. Muita gente diz que funciona muito bem e eu lembro-me de quando o usei achar o mesmo. Creio que foi por nunca ter usado outro portanto não tinha muito por onde comprar. Actualmente não me parece que fosse nenhum milagre anti-cuticulas!

4- Cliché Cuticle Remover

This is from Cliché, costs around 1€ and can be found in local chinese stores. This doesn't do anything! At least for me! I used it once just to try it out!
Este é o removedor de cutículas da Cliché. Custa cerca de 1€ em lojas locais e armazéns Chineses. A mim não me faz nada. Comprei para testar, usei uma vez e nunca mais.

5- Peggy Sage Cuticle Remover

This is another gel to remove cuticles, this time from Peggy Sage, costs around 8€ ( I bought it at 5€ in Exposcosmetics) can be found in Janina's Store. This remover smells amazing! I absolutely love its scent. Works pretty good.

Este removedor de cutículas da Peggy Sage custa cerca de 8€ tendo-o aquirido um pouco mais barato na expocosmética. Podem encontrar ou encomendar estes e outros produtos da Peggy Sage na Lojinha da Janina. Tem um cheiro fabuloso como todos os produtos da linha de tratamento da marca. Funciona bastante bem. A par com o Golden Rose eram os meus dois produtos de eleição até há bem pouco tempo atrás.

6 - Peggy Sage Cuticle Oil

This is so far my very favorite cuticle oil! Smell omg amazing (like all Peggy Sage products I must say). Costs around 8€ but I bought it at around 5€ (fair price in Expocosmetics). I use it a lot after manicures that make a mess of cuticles. After cleaning up the mess I a always apply it.

Óleo de cutículas da Peggy Sage. Tem um cheiro maravilhoso a abacaxi (?). Custou-me à volta de 5€ na expocosmética (a preço de feira). Uso-o imenso após manicures que sujam imenso a cutícula e depois de as limpar com acetona passo este óleo. Ficam como novas.

This is cuticle cream from Essence, costs around 4€ and can be found in stores like Wells. What I love the most about it is that is super greasy, works like Nivea for my nails and cuticles when they look like ***** . I just find it very hard to absorb.

Este creme para cutículas da Essence custou-me cerca de 4€ e pode ser encontrado em lojas como a Wells. O que eu mais gosto neste produto é a sua consistência semelhante ao creme Nivea. Custumo aplicar quando as cutículas estão mesmo em muito mau estado. O que menos gosto neste produto é que é super dificil de ser absorvido pela pele.

8 - Kiss Cuticle Balm

This is my favorite cuticle balm so far. Its from Kiss and costs around 10€ , can be found in Douglas. What I love the most about it is very light, the scent is soft is it is very easily absorbed by the cuticle.

Este balsamo é o meu preferido. Custa cerca de 10€, pode ser comprado em Perfumarias Douglas. É super leve, o cheiro é delicado e é muito rapidamente absorvido.

9 - Cuticle Oil Pens

I LOVE THIS PENS! I have them from OPI, Yes Love and other random Asian brand and usually I buy them from Ebay. When I first found them they were being sold in some chinese stores at around 2€ each. I have tons of this pens in all my bags and purses and small cosmetic emergency bags, I could manage to find this tree for the picture! They are just perfect, easy to apply, absorb super fast have different scents! You should really have one of this always next to you! They are real savers!

Eu AMO estas canetas. Tenho várias, da OPI, da Yes Love e de outras marcas Asiáticas. Normalmente encomendo-as do Ebay aos packs de 6. As primeiras que encontrei foram compradas em armazéns Chineses e custavam-me cerca de 2€ cada. Hoje em dia tenho montes e montes destas canetas espalhadas por todas as malas, bolsas e bolsinhas de maquilhagem no fundo das malas. Consegui encontrar 3 para a foto. São perfeitas e super práticas. Aplicam-se facilmente, transportam-se e quando olhamos para a unha e a cutícula está em mau estado, uma pinceladela destas canetinhas faz milagres. Aconselho uma caneta destas!

10- Vanilla Lip balm .

I bought this from H&M and just put it in my purse (yes its endless!). Sometimes when I'm to lazy to look for the pens I use this one. Its not bad, but its a lipbalm. Costs around 2€.

Este Balsamo labial da H&M foi uma coisa que comprei e pus na mala e uma certa vez precisava de por qualquer coisa nas cuticulas, fiquei com preguiça de procurar a canetinha e usei isto. resulta. É um bom "desenrasca". Custou cerca de 2€.

11- Essence Fast Cuticle Remover

THIS IS AMAZING! I heard a lot about this product and I just had to try this! It does makes miracles to your cuticles. In seconds removes all this small annoying bits of skin around our nails. Costs around 3/4€.

OK, este produto é FANTASTICO. Ouvi falar imenso dele e tive que o experimentar! Realmente faz o que promete. Após alguns segundos todas as pele de cuticula ficam moles e muito facilmente são retiradas. Adorei.Custa cerca de

12- Purple Cuticle Remover

This was the last cuticle remover I tried and I loved it! Another great product from Purple Professional! Works really as good as Essence Fast Cuticle Remover. I've been using this two (my current favorites) for the last couple weeks! Costs around 5€, its Portuguese and can be found in all stores retailing Purple Profissional [link].

Este foi o último removedor de cutículas que testei e amei. É mais um optimo produto de tratamento da Purple Profissional! Funciona tão bem ou melhor que o Essence. Tenho-os usado alternados há duas semanas. Custa cerca de 5€, é uma marca Portuguesa e pode ser usado em lojas que vendem Purple Profissonal [link].
