Betty Nails: Expocosmética 2014 - Recap

Hello! Já estava a demorar o post da expocosmética deste ano! Bastantes fotos editadas e alguns contratempos depois, eis o post.

Sobre o bloggers event não me vou alargar muito. Já se falou muito dele por aqui. Para quem não sabe, a expocosmética este ano organizou um evento para bloggers. Nunca se percebeu muito bem o que iria acontecer mas supostamente o objectivo seria ter as bloggers num espaço de modo a que se conhecessem.. maybe uma cerimónia de abertura e afins.

Hello!! Long due this expocosmetics 2014 post. Expocosmetic is a Beauty Fair that happens once a year, in Exponor ( an exhibition center in the north of the country). Expocosmetics is the major beauty event of the year and counts with a huge number of the major beauty brands and beauty stores present in the country. This year the organization divided the exhibition in 3 major spaces themed nails , beauty cosmetics and make-up and nails.

Another novelty this year was the Bloggers Event. The bloggers influence is growing in Portugal and the brand awareness is growing too. So this year, the organization tried to create an welcome event to bloggers to make them feel special and welcomed by the brands and the fair. It was the first year and there were some glitches. A lot of blogs have already talked about it but mostly the issue was that the majority of the bloggers got no attention at all.

Eis os factos:
- O meu nome estava lá numa listinha.
- Dei o nome e recebi um saquinho da expo com ofertas de várias marcas ( as ofertas variavam de saco para saco). Gostei do meu.
- Perguntei se haveria algum local onde devesse ir / horas para estar em algum sitio e niguem me respondeu.

FOR ME, the facts were:
- I had my blog in a list of bloggers,
- I got a bloggers PASS an a goodie bag (I loved mine but the bags were not equal to all bloggers.)
- I asked the organization if there was a place or a time to meet them and the other bloggers and I got no answer.

E foi esta a minha experiência do bloggers event. Fora isto, o meu plano era deslocar-me a um conjunto de stands. Os stands são de marcas parceiras ou que trabalham com o blog e todas as pessoas desses stands estavam à minha espera. Fui MUITO BEM recebida em todos eles.

ANYWAY, my personal experience was AWESOME!
I had planed and scheduled meetings with my partner brands that were at the fair and they were all expecting me with welcome arms and a great reception. I've been spoiled!
This were the stands I had meetings at(by the orders I visited them and the order of the pictures bellow).

- Nails Divine

The first stand I visited and where I had some shopping to to! When I arrived and Nails Divine Stand the Expo had just opened and it was almost empty! Me and Ana ran to buy all the things we needed and had a quick chat with Bruna, the brand's owner. Unfortunately Ines, the brand's PR was not there at the time and we promised to return by the end of the day to check in with her too.

A Nails Divine estava localizada bem perto da entrada e foi o primeiro stand que visitei. Aproveitei que estava ainda meio vazio e fui fazer umas comprinhas basicas ( e previamente programadas) com a Ana. Fomos muito bem recebidas pela Bruna, a dona da marca, fizemos algumas fotos e continuamos para o stand seguinte. Infelizmente a Ines, a RP da marca não estava no stand e ficamos de voltar no fim do dia, bem rapidinho.. ( ao fim do dia o stand estava um pandemónio e era quase impossivel respirar por lá!)!

Muito obrigado à Bruna, à Inês e às restantes meninas que nos receberam super bem!

Estava programado o Clean off e o gel 3 em 1...
O Removedor sem acetona e os geis de cor foram ofertas, o resto foram compras extras! :D

This is a new brand in Portugal. I was contacted by Vania, Catherine Rep, a couple months ago and I have been following, attentively the evolution of the brand here in Portugal. Vania has kept me updated about the upcoming products and we finally met on the Expo! She explained me every detail about ALL the brand's products and I was delighted with a lot of them! A Catherine é uma marca recente em Portugal. Fui contactada pela Vania, a representante da marca, há uns meses e desde então temos trocado várias mensagens e tenho acompanhado a chegada de novos produtos. Finalmente vi tudo ao vivo na expo e adorei conhecer e experimentar vários produtos.

Broca e forno com um optimo aspecto! E leves leves leves hihihi parecem robotzinhos!

A nova broca com aspirador! Que fancy! Adorei experimentar!

A linha de pés e pernas é deliciosamente fresca!

O cremezinho foi oferta! Estou a usar desde o dia da feira e a adorar. Muito hidratante e cheira muito bem!

- GL Nails

After a small incident where some lady started screaming at me "YOU CAN'T TAKE PICTURES", Carlos, the GL Nails owner and Color Club and Ruby Wing Portuguese Rep. came to my rescue and showed me all the news!

In the end of the tour he also sent me to do a """quick""" massage with Bulgarian natural and Eco products that I ended up liking a lot!

O stand da GL Nails era do mesmo tamanho do do ano passado e também grandinho e apinhado de coisas boas! Assim que lá cheguei agarrei a maquina e comecei a fazer fotos das novidades da color club, Ruby Wing e outras coisitas.. eis que chega uma Sra. ao pe d mim, semi-histérica "NÃO PODEM TIRAR FOTOS! NÃO É PARA FOTOGRAFAR!"....

OIII?! lol Por sorte, o Sr. Carlos, dono da GL Nails e rep da Color Club e Ruby Wing em Portugal veio salvar a situação e mostrar-me as novidades.
No fim.. ainda conseguiu "empurrar-me" para uma massagem bulgara, com produtos Eco-Spa com cheirinhos deliciosos. Confesso que no inicio não estava muito convencida, mas as massagens com creme de iogurte e creme de mousse de chocolate e cera de vela convenceram-me!

Novidades vernizes:

A Hean é a nova aposta da GL Nails em marcas representadas e apesar de não ter trazido nenhum verniz as cores pareceram-me um must!

As novidades da color club, já com o novo logotipo!

A linha Eco-Spa tem um optimo aspecto! Vou-vos deixar mais informações sobre a marca num proximo post.
A GL Tinha disponíveis os produtos individuais e em kit! Garanto que o cheirinho é delicioso!

O que veio comigo! O CC Cream da Hean é Excelente! Tenho estado a usar e a adorar!

Susana, the Orly Portugal rep has again received me ( and my fellow bloggers Ana and Cris) with open arms! Literally! ehehhe Missed you Susana! I have spent a bit of time talking to Susana about the news that are coming and the current state of the beauty and nails market in Portugal. The talk was amazing and long and I totally forgot to shop for some polishes! LOL Silly me!

Mais uma vez a visita à Orly foi optima! A Susana, rep da Orly em Portugal, recebeu-me de braços abertos! É sempre uma delicia passar pela Orly. Imensos frasquinhos lindos e sempre uma conversa muito agradável! Desta vez passamos um bom bocadinho a conversar sobre o mercado de verniz em Portugal e sua evolução nos ultimos anos. A conversa foi tanta que me esqueci de fazer umas comprinhas! Dahhhh

Isabel (the super pregnant lady) is the brand's rep and she is taking the brand into a new direction! This is a medical equipment and supplements group and they have a nail polish line along with hand and nail care products. The brand is now starting their cosmetics /make up line and I had the opportunity to check out all the new things!

A Isabel,( a senhora super grávida, nas fotos!) é a representante da Dermacelsia e recebeu-nos também muito bem. Mostrou-nos as novidades da marca, os lançamentos de cremes e maquilhagem e falámos um pouco sobre os objetivos futuros da marca!

- Gelish / Morgan Taylor

I missed Pedro! I met Pedro last year at expocosmetics and I spent around 2 hours talking to him about gelish products while to guided me through the step by step of the brands products!

Pedro is my favorite Gelish nailart artist! He does amazing work with nails! I love to check his new techniques and courses! And he is sooooo nice!!

I saw Alex too! I had spoken to him during the year but last year I missed him at the fair!

Que saudades do Pedro!! Conheci o Pedro o ano passado na expo! Tinha combinado encontrar-me com a PR deles mas acabei por ficar horas e horas a falar com o Pedro sobre os produtos e os métodos de aplicação da gama gelish. O Pedro mostrou-me tudo passo a passo!
Este ano já estava mais do que combinado passar pelo Stand da marca para uma visitinha, matar saudades e ver as novidades da marca e da Morgan Taylor!
Para quem não conhece, o Pedro Fernandez é um dos artistas Gelish! Faz trabalhos lindíssimos com os produtos da marca!

Aproveitei ainda para conhecer pessoalmente o Alex, que falava comigo sobre novidades da marca quando o Pedro não podia!

The stand were all the bloggers meet, every year at every fair! We all love Ana, the Kinetics Portuguese representative and she always has different hairstyles !

O ultimo mas não o menos importante! Tem-se tornado um ritual, as bloggers encontrarem-se as 5 horas, no stand da kinetics, em todos os eventos! A Ana, a rep. Portuguesa da Kinetics recebe-nos sempre muito bem! Este ano, eu estava super curiosa para ver as novidades da marca! Linhas de tratamento novas e uma linha de verniz gel para venda ao público! Monofásico!!
