For those who don't know what I am talking about (Follow me through Facebook to know a lot more!) I am making an Indie Guide A-Z! This will be a huge project and a enormous pleasure to do! So .. what am I going to do? Everyday, I'm going to show you a different brand of Indie Nail Polishes (and some of their major stockists too!! )

Brand Name: Sparkles by Julie

Where are you from? Originally from Norway, currently living in Hawai'i

When have you started? I started playing around with Frankening early 2011, and spent most of that summer experimenting with different glitters and pigments and started creating polishes for myself and friends for fun. Several of my friends encouraged me to expand, and I opened up my Etsy shop in March 2012.

Is there a story behind the name of your brand? I love all things that sparkle, particularly nail polish, so the brand name seemed natural.

How many polishes/collections have you created? So far I have made 4 complete collections, Galaxy, Candy, Halloween and Christmas Collection; each consisting of 6 different polishes. I also had 10 different holographic polishes but they did not sell well so decided to only continue selling a holographic topper. I am also working on a Floral collection, and a Liquid Gems collection.

Is there a special polish/collection? Why? I love all my collections, they all represent something I like.

Where you a polish addicted before starting making polishes? Oh yesss =) But making polishes seemed to increase and expand my interest.

Did you have a blog before making polishes or have you started one after? Yes, http://sp4rklingnails.blogspot.com/

Whats your favorite thing about making polishes? I have always been creative, since I was a kid. My favorite thing about making polishes is that it is a creative outlet.

Can you tell us a curious thing that has happened to you with some client or something funny? One of the most interesting and curious things I have found about my shop is all the different nationalities of my customers. I have sent polishes back to Norway, as well as to Japan, Russia, Singapora, Australia, Brazil, and a few locally, and that's just a few of the destinations!

Lost in Space

This is a gorgeous gelly polish filled with multi colored and sized glitters in shades of blue and green and some opalescent glitters. Here are two coats of Lost in Space over two coats of Purple Professional nr.18. Easy to apply and with glitters that spread evenly. Great formula. I loved wearing it. Dried fast.

Um lindissimo verniz gelly repleto de glitters de vários tamanhos e tons de azul e verde e alguns glitters opalescentes. Duas camadas do Lost in Space sobre 2 camadas do Preto da Purple Professional nr.18. Muito facil de aplicar, os glitters aplicam-se e espalham-se bastante bem e a fórmula é facil de trabalhar. Secou bastante bem.

Snow City

This is a top coat glitter filled with two sized black & white hexagons and bars and a very fine holographic shimmer. Only one coat of Snow City over two coats of Purple Professional Pink n3. The glitters spread very evenly and don't get bumpy. Died fast. Topped with SV.

Eis um lindo top coat glitter repleto de glitter de barras e hexagonos, de dois tamanhos, em preto e branco completo com um fino shimmer holográfico! Uma camada de Snow City sobre duas camadas do Purple Professional nr.3. Os glitteres espalham-se muito bem e não fazem altos nas unhas. Completo com 1 camada de SV.
