Today I'm presenting you Laura from Joyful Noise Cosmetics (that was previously called Nails By Laura) !! !!

For those who don't know what I am talking about (Follow me through Facebook to know a lot more!) I am making an Indie Guide A-Z!

This will be a huge project and a enormous pleasure to do! So .. what am I going to do? Everyday, I'm going to show you a different brand of Indie Nail Polishes (and some of their major stockists too!! )

Para quem não sabe do que eu estou a falar ( basta seguirem-me também no Facebook para saberem as novidades em primeira mão ) estou a fazer um Guia de Vernizes Indie.

Este é um projecto enorme e muito trabalhoso que tenho imenso prazer de partilhar convosco!
Então, o que é que vou fazer? Todos os dias, vou-vos mostrar uma marca diferente de vernizes indies com entrevistas com as meninas ( e meninos) que os fazem! Além disso, tambem vos vou trazer entrevistas com as maiores lojas onde eles se vendem!

Your Name: Laura

Brand Name: Nails by Laura

Where are you from? New Jersey

When have you started? I started by business on June 9th, 2011

Is there a story behind the name of your brand? When I started my business I was selling primarily predesigned nail sets. At the time I thought that would be my main product, which I see now was a bit short sighted! Note: As of 12-5-12 Nails by Laura is now Joyful Noise Cosmetics.

How many polishes/collections have you created? You know, I'm not sure! Maybe around 10 or 15?

Is there a special polish/collection? Why? Yes! For me, the most special polishes are "Dani-Mite", which was a special 100 Bottles Only made polish with 50% of the profits going to the National Brain Tumor Society. It's now sold out and we raised $500 for the NBTS! The other is a polish for a similar Cause, "Know Hope", will only 300 bottles to be made, benefiting Living Beyond Breast Cancer. There are still several bottles of that left for sale.

Where you a polish addicted before starting making polishes? Absolutely! If anything, that polish addiction is what made me start my line! I wanted to be able to do things that weren't available in stores.

Did you have a blog before making polishes or have you started one after? I had a Tumblr for awhile but I never could get into it, truly. Now I'm addicted to Instagram!

Whats your favorite thing about making polishes? It's an excellent creative outlet for me. As such, custom orders are my favorite. I love a challenge, and making people happy by giving them just what they were looking for!

Can you tell us a curious thing that has happened to you with some client or something funny? I can't think of anything funny or odd that's happened with me D:
